Vass Verkhodanova
is a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen/Campus Fryslân. She started her PhD project on Parkinson’s Disease in multilingual voice in February 2017, focusing on perception and recognition of dysarthric prosody. She graduated from St. Petersburg State University, Russia, where she studied computational linguistics (BA) and phonetics and speech technologies (MA). Before starting her doctoral research she worked as a researcher in a “Speech and Multimodal Interfaces” laboratory at SPIIRAS in St. Petersburg, Russia. She will be a research fellow at Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. from June to October 2020.
