Vincent Boswijk
is a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen/Campus Fryslân since October 2017. Vincent has a B.A. in Scandinavian Studies (Swedish) from the University of Groningen with a minor in Gender Studies at the University of Gothenburg, and a M.A. in Linguistics, with a focus on multilingualism, from the University of Groningen. In his current research, Vincent combines different techniques to measure brain activity involved in the processing of language, such as pupil dilation and electroencephalography (EEG). Vincent further specializes in generalized additive modeling (GAMs), an advanced method of linear regression. Vincent will be a research fellow at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. from February to June 2021.
