Please come join us for a Recovering Voices seminar given by our visiting research fellow, Marta Ostajewska, from the University of Warsaw, Poland. We will host this on:
Monday June 3, 2019, at 3:15pm,
in the NMNH Library,
1st Floor (Rm CE-107),
National Museum of Natural History
Marta’s research is on exploring ideas about the body as an archive, and she will talk about her work on oral history and cultural revitalization in a Polish industrial district. The title of her talk is “The cultural revitalization of the post-industrial district of Księży Młyn in Łódź (Poland) – the site-specific actions as a part of the “Filling” project”. She is with Recovering Voices as part of a partnership program on language and cultural revitalization with the University of Warsaw, the Americas Research Network, the Council of American Overseas Research Centers, and the University of North Carolina.
